In 1952 Kemmons Wilson built the first Holiday Inn right here in Memphis and changed Hospitality forever.
In 2022 the Kemmons Wilson Companies moved their HQ back downtown, into a 100-year-old brick building planted between Memphis’ bustling S Main arts district and the Mississippi River.
With material, texture, and type that echo the Holiday Inn signs that launched this legacy, our sign out front of their newly renovated headquarters announces the fresh identity and art direction that this generation of leadership is bringing to KWC.

Navigating the interior of this enormous mid century masterpiece began with a few hand drawn icon strokes.
It was finished when we’d built an artful, human centered signage & way finding system that could be deployed throughout CIGNA buildings across the country.PLACEMAKING
Our modular design makes the signage easy to switch out as names and needs change over time.
We developed a custom iconography and wayfinding system that was built to roll out nationally across CIGNA’s operation.
